The Desk Drawer

I'm a 45 year old woman whose multiple facets overlap in the one journal. I identify as someone who rounds up to cis, pansexual, polyamorous, and kinky. I'm a writer working on her first original novel, a progressive blogger, and spend a certain amount of time managing my various chronic illnesses and injuries, as well as the health conditions of my family. The individuals often appearing in these pages include my husband Bear, who has congestive heart failure and COPD, our trans girlfriend Panda, who has a ruptured disk in her back, and my boyfriend. My sons who I refer to as Elder (currently 21) and Younger (16), as well as my mother, my father (who has Alzheimer's), and my sister, her spouse, and her daughter (3 in October)


I have been known to write fanfiction. Currently I'm working on an original novel. I love to talk about writing and the process of creation, so feel free to talk to me about that.

In the SCA, I am Signora Giovanna d'Este, AoA, OW, of the Barony of Sternfeld in the Middle Kingdom. Currently projects include revamping garb, and working on next year's A&S entries.


For the curious who want to know exactly what the hell the foot injury is, it is a Lisfrancs dislocation of the first and second metatarsal. In the course of things I have also torn an ankle ligament on the same side, and torn things up worse in the left ankle. Now that I have health insurance (ACA works for me!) I am getting the worse of the two dealt with sometime in the near future.

I am also planning to begin to corset train this winter, when it is easier to wear layers. I would like my boobs to stick out further than my belly.
